Hi—my name is Kaitlyn Anderson. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with nine of years of experience serving clients amongst an array of levels of care. I love to read (even though I mostly listen to books now), watch stand-up comedians, and listen to podcasts. Like so many, my choice in music is very eclectic. My family is very important to me. I have two small children and a spouse who are my world and who I spend most of my time with. When able, I make a point of spending time with my friends by going out to eat and/or drinking coffee.
Having had needed my own therapist as an adolescent and periodically throughout my adult life, I knew I wanted to pay my own experience forward and provide a space for all who I would see that is welcoming, safe, and empathetically understanding. It is my belief that those three characteristics provide a foundation to therapy for individuals to make profound changes to their life.
My therapeutic approach is very client-centered and individualized to meet each person where they are, as they are. It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship between client and counselor is incredibly important and powerful during the therapy process. A strong therapeutic relationship curates a safe space to process all emotions and thoughts, allows for empathy to be provided, and healthy challenging of the current state to move the client in a direction that is most meaningful and fulfilling for them. My goal for clients is to assist them in recentering their life compass by guiding them back to their values, and to teach them how approach life obstacles in a new and productive way.
If you think we might be a good fit, let’s talk. I look forward to hearing from you!
